New Defibrillator Installed at Pemberton Brass Band

Earlier this week, we visited Pemberton Old Wigan DW Band to see the newly-installed defibrillator that we have helped to fund.

We were very happy to provide 50% match funding through our Brighter Borough pot, with the remainder coming from the Department of Health and Social Care.

Studies have shown that the use of an AED defibrillator can increase someone’s chances of survival by 7 TIMES, should they have a cardiac arrest.

Hopefully, no-one will find themselves in this situation. But if there is an emergency, this life-saving piece of equipment will be available 24/7 to help!
