Last night, we really enjoyed catching up with Julie, Mike, Leanne and all the team at Wigan and Leigh Wrestling Club!
They have recently moved to their new premises on the Pioneer Industrial Estate, off Ormskirk Road.
We have long been involved with this fantastic sporting group and it was an honour when we awarded Dave Grundy the “Heart of the Community” Award, just before he passed away last year. Dave has left an enormous legacy, which we saw at the club tonight, watching the Tough Tots and Kids Wrestling sessions!
Mike, who is a world champion himself, is running the club and gym on site, with his mum Julie and business partner Danny. Over the years, this club has produced world champions in wrestling, boxing, and cage fighting.
