Attending the Ordination of Alison Brown from St James' Church

Thank you to Alison Brown and all the volunteers at St James Church for the invite to the beautiful Liverpool Cathedral yesterday to see Alison being ordained as a Deacon for Church Wigan. It was a lovely service.

Alison has worked in the community for many years, setting up the local food bank, Tom's Pantry, St James’ Faith Café and running many initiatives such as the Christmas Dinner last year that helped many in the community.

This is a role that is made for her and she will be fabulous. We, the Douglas Ward Councillors, are looking forward to carrying on working with Revd Brown.
