Attending the Pre-Opening Event at Omniplex Cinemas Wigan

Tonight, we were very lucky to be invited to the pre-opening event at Omniplex Cinema as the local ward Councillors.

The cinema is looking absolutely amazing following Omniplex’s £3.5 million investment and refurbishment, with reclining leather seats in every screen (and sofa beds!). There has also been a complete overhaul of the lobby area, which now has vans serving hot food, beer and cocktails, as well as classic cinema snacks!

With its opening day tomorrow, the site will create 40 permanent jobs in our local area, including many of the staff who worked there under the cinema’s previous owners, bringing a wealth of experience.

A huge thank you to the General Manager, Anthony, for inviting us to tonight’s event. We would encourage everyone in the local area to come down and take advantage of our town’s brand new cinema!
