📣 Help is available from Wigan Council if you’re struggling with the cost of a deposit for a new private-rented home.
Our Deposit Assistance Scheme provides non-cash deposits (or ‘bonds’) to landlords and agents– offering all the same protection as a traditional cash deposit.
We also offer pre-tenancy support and guidance – checking that your new home is affordable, suitable and safe – and have an online claims process for landlords.
