Two More Litter Picks Carried Out in Newtown

A slightly wet morning as we litter-picked around Newtown today!

We collected 2 bags of waste from the Douglas St car park in the middle of the Saddle Junction. Following our last litter pick here a fortnight ago, Streetscene have now cut back the vegetation around the car park, making it look much tidier!

We then went on to pick 4 bags of waste on just a short stretch of Robin Park Rd, from the fire station to Thomas More Gardens! We will continue to lobby the Council to introduce more waste bins in this area to tackle these litter problems.
